Find events in an area       Top

To find a list of upcoming events, go to the and click on the area in which you are interested.

Contact us if you do not see your area or information is incorrect and let us know how we can fix what is wrong.

Find special events and trips that need to be planned in advance       Top

To find special events that people need to know about in advance, such as trips, leagues, courses, galas, missions and vacations, from the home page, go to your local area and click the Special link.

This lists events advertised in that local area only. The event may be taking place somewhere else. For example, a trip advertised in South Florida may be going to the Bahamas. You will find this trip in the South Florida area, not the Bahamas area.

Find trips and conventions offered nationally and internationally, including vacations and singles travel       Top

To find events offered nationally or internationally, such as conventions and trips, including singles travel, from the home page, click on any major area, such as the United States or Europe, or from any area page, click the Trips+ link.

This lists events advertised in that major area, plus events advertised worldwide. The event may be taking place somewhere else. For example, a trip advertised in the United States may be going to France. You will find this trip in the United States area, not in the France area.

Find trips by where they take place       Top

The above tips show you how to find events by where the event is advertised. To find trips by where they take place, such as a trip to Costa Rica, go to the bottom of most pages and click the Find link.

The Find page lets you specify a variety of search criteria, such as the country where the event takes place.

If there are too many events in a country, to narrow your search to just those events advertised as Trips+, select Nationwide and Worldwide in the Publicize field.

Do not select an Area or Areaparent because that limits your search to the area in which the event is advertised.

Be aware that a trip that goes to more than one country, will only have one country specified. For example, a trip that goes first to Poland and then to Israel may have either Poland or Israel specified as the country, but not both.

How to get a userid and what you can do with one       Top

To get a logon ID, go to the Register page.

You need a logon ID to:

  • Enter events
  • Look up organizations
  • Register organizations

How to get more traffic to your website       Top

Linking from jewishnetwork.com will help drive traffic to your website.

The links on jewishnetwork.com drive traffic to your website in two important ways. The first way is when people view your event or organization, they see links for more information. People frequently click on these links to go to your website.

The second way is through higher placement in Internet search engines. Google.com is the primary Internet search engine (used by Yahoo, AOL and most others) and is the way most people find most websites. Linking from jewishnetwork.com will help position your website higher in the seach results.

Here's why. Google counts links to rank placement. Google values links by how popular the site linking to you is. Since jewishnetwork.com has so many links with other sites, a link from jewishnetwork.com counts more than most other links.

Simply put, having a link on jewishnetwork.com helps your site show up higher on Google, Yahoo, AOL and many others.

See our Promotion Letter for a page you can print and give to organizations.

Contact us if you would like to hand out flyers or cards when you attend events. Include your name and address and we will mail you some.

These are effective measures and will soon result in a thorough listing in your area. Plus it's fun. Handing out cards is a great way to meet people.
